Ready for a little body work and paint

Brandon Phillips from Southern Mobile Paint & Dent Repair asked me to weld up some holes in a Heritage Softail fender for his Fatboy. Brandon and his crew are currently working on the 66 GMC project I've been working on.

1993 GMC Typhoon





4.3 AWD Turbo

Customer had his 1993 GMC Typhoon towed in to the shop for us to get it running. It had been sitting for about 8 years. After a few hours and some parts we had it running but it looks like the turbo may be bad....

I have it killed........
A little grinding and patch a hole in the roof where an antenna use to be and we will be back to Blast Technology for a touch up. Then off to paint. I can't wait to see this baby in yellow & white.

77 LUV Update

Tim & I picked it up from the exhaust shop today. Big shout out to Justin Palmer for doing a killer job on the exhaust.
We will be finishing up a few things tommorrow. ie. fan wiring, fixing leaking intake & etc etc.
Turkey Rod run here we come.........

Just a few small places left on the outside to fix and all the rust will be gone.

How to Build Custom Spark Plug Wires

#1 Route wires.
I like using Taylor Cable  looms. 

Tools needed
spark plug wire crimpers, needle nose pliers, side cutters and WD40

clip a connector on cap
cut wire 3/4" longer than needed 

insert wire into crimper/stripper leaving 3/4" sticking out

wire should look like this after stripping

fold inner wire back

place connector over wire, making sure inner wire is at the top of connector.
slightly squeeze connetor on wire to keep it in place

insert into crimper, making sure connector in properly located

this is what it will look like crimped

install wire on cap and repeat 7 more times

spray WD40 into boot

insert needle nose pliers into boot

work the pliers in & out while twisting the boot a few times.
you will be able to feel when ready.

push connector into boot and repeat 7 more times

Your finished. Now grab a cold drink, sit back and enjoy not having ugly plug wires.
